At Anca Solar, we believe a solar installation should last — and so should the protection behind it. Every system we install comes with multiple layers of warranty coverage, giving you peace of mind for 25 years and beyond. Below you'll find exactly what's covered, for how long, and what to do if you ever need service.
Workmanship Warranty
Our 10-Year Workmanship Guarantee
Every Anca Solar installation is backed by our 10-year workmanship warranty. This covers all labor, roof penetrations, wiring, mounting hardware, and system configuration performed by our team. If anything related to our installation work fails or causes issues, we'll come back and fix it — at no cost to you.
Coverage includes: roof leak repair from mounting points, electrical connection issues, racking and mounting hardware failures, conduit and wiring problems, and any installation-related defects. CSLB License #873768.
Solar Panel Warranty
25-Year Panel Performance & Product Warranty
We install panels from trusted manufacturers like REC, Silfab, and other Tier 1 brands. These panels come with two types of manufacturer warranty that we pass through directly to you:
Product warranty (12–25 years): Covers manufacturing defects, materials, and workmanship of the panel itself. If a panel fails due to a defect, the manufacturer replaces it.
Performance warranty (25 years): Guarantees your panels will produce at least 80–85% of their rated output after 25 years. Most premium panels guarantee 92%+ at year 25. If production drops below the guaranteed threshold, the manufacturer provides replacement panels.
Inverter Warranty
12–25 Year Inverter Warranty
Inverters convert the DC power your panels generate into AC power your home uses. We work with industry-leading inverter brands to ensure long-term reliability:
Enphase microinverters come with a 25-year warranty. Each panel has its own microinverter, so a single failure doesn't affect your whole system. SolarEdge string inverters carry a 12-year standard warranty, extendable to 25 years, and include power optimizers with a 25-year warranty.
All inverter warranties cover manufacturing defects, component failure, and performance issues. Replacement units are provided by the manufacturer at no cost during the warranty period.
Battery Warranty
10-Year Battery Storage Warranty
Home battery systems add backup power and maximize your solar savings under California's NEM 3.0 rate structure. Our battery partners provide comprehensive warranty coverage:
Tesla Powerwall carries a 10-year warranty guaranteeing 70% capacity retention with unlimited cycles. Enphase IQ Battery offers a 10-year warranty (extendable to 15 years) with 70% capacity guarantee. Franklin WH provides a 12-year warranty with 70% capacity retention covering both the battery and integrated inverter.
Battery warranties cover manufacturing defects, capacity degradation beyond guaranteed thresholds, and internal component failures.
What's Covered
What's Covered — and What's Not
Covered under warranty: Manufacturing defects in panels, inverters, or batteries. Performance degradation below guaranteed thresholds. Installation-related issues including roof leaks, wiring, and mounting. Component failure under normal operating conditions. Monitoring system malfunctions.
Not typically covered: Damage from extreme weather events (usually covered by homeowner's insurance). Physical damage from falling objects, animals, or vandalism. Unauthorized modifications or repairs by third parties. Cosmetic damage that doesn't affect performance. Normal wear on external components exposed to weather.
Your homeowner's insurance policy typically covers your solar system as part of your home's structure. We recommend confirming this with your insurance provider after installation.
Filing a Claim
How to File a Warranty Claim
If you experience any issues with your solar system, contact us directly. We handle the entire warranty process for you — including coordinating with manufacturers for equipment claims.
Step 1: Contact us at (805) 410-0494 or carlos@ancasolar.com with a description of the issue. Step 2: We schedule a diagnostic visit to inspect your system, usually within 48 hours. Step 3: We identify whether the issue falls under workmanship or manufacturer warranty. Step 4: For workmanship issues, we repair at no cost. For manufacturer claims, we file the claim and coordinate replacement. Step 5: We complete the repair or replacement and verify your system is performing correctly.
You don't need to contact manufacturers yourself — we manage the process from start to finish. That's part of the Anca Solar commitment: support that lasts as long as your system.
